All services are priced based on the following criteria: 1) Coat Condition 2) Attitude and Temperament 3) Physical Size
An average session is between 1 to 1.5 hours, except for our very first session, which could take longer. We will charge an additional fee in failure to disclose matting, fleas, ticks, skunking, aggressive and/or difficult behavior and other grooming concerns due to change in time required to service/handle these issues. The fee ranges from $5-50 on top of the normal grooming fee.
With small dog sessions we will express the anal glands if they are full. Big dogs are done upon request.
MATTED PETS: Please be aware that pets with severe matting are in a health crisis. Matting promotes heat exhaustion, sores, bacteria, and pain. Pets that have severe matting WILL be shaved for their health. Once mats are removed pets may have sores and scabs. This liability falls on the parents and we may advise you to seek medical attention.
AGGRESSIVE PETS AND BEHAVIORAL ISSUES: Pets that are extremely aggressive will NOT be groomed. If you are AWARE that your pet may have a temperamental issue and FAIL to notify us you can and will be liable for ALL medical fees and Out of Work compensation if our groomer is injured. If your pet has behavioral issues that will affect the appointment please let us know, both for our safety and your pets. If we arrive at your home and your pet cannot be groomed or finished, a $35 fee will apply. We reserve the right to refuse service.
SAFETY: Blades and scissors are used around pets to achieve their grooming. Although we strive for safety, pets are a moving, dancing, licking, and affectionate client. Because of this we will not be held liable for any cuts or nicks from clippers or scissors. We hope that you know that we would NEVER intentionally harm your pet but accidents occasionally happen. We strive to ONLY use the best products. Just like humans, pets can have unique allergies and reactions to products. Should this happen you will see this within an hour of grooming and need to call us immediately. We will not be held responsible for ear infection as we put cotton balls in ears while bathing to prevent water from going into the ear canal. Although we try our very best, there are times when shampoo and hair may get into your pets eye. This is just something that cannot be completely avoided and we will not be held responsible for any complication due to this. If it does occur we will flush the eye immediately with saline solution. In the extremely uncommon event that something should happen while we are grooming your pet, we will inform you immediately and advise on the next steps.
AUTHORIZATION & CONSENT: We require your pet to have a Rabies Vaccination prior to service as required by local law. All other vaccines are not required. Your pet will not come in contact with any other pet while in our unit. We require an Authorization and Consent to be filled out before service is rendered. By signing below, you acknowledge that your pet has already taken vaccination for rabies.
SENIOR PETS: You must know and let us know of any problems related to your elder dogs’ health, such as heart issues, arthritis, kidney problems, etc. Older pets are at greater risk of experiencing complication due to stress. Elderly pets will be groomed for safety and comfort ONLY. We will not compromise your pet’s health and comfort to achieve “the perfect groom.” By signing below, you’re stating that it is ok to groom your elderly dog. If we feel that your pet is under too much stress we will stop the grooming session immediately and the charges will be adjusted accordingly.
